Our
Operation ID, started
in 2002, is designed to “Win
back the Right to Life in
America”;
Operation ID is a
unique non-partisan effort to
unite all pro-life people in a
political effort to provide a
solution to what has, with over 48
million dead through abortion,
become the American Holocaust.

Operation ID
is a breakthrough program driven
by its approach to involve all
pro-life people whether they
give money to support the work
or not – the purpose is to
involve all people, regardless
of political affiliation, who
share a common belief that
abortion for convenience is
wrong. Right to Life Crusade
does not focus on only those who
give money – the solution is not
in how much money we can raise
but in how many people we can
turn out at the polls on
Election Day.

Our intention is to engage
elected officials and candidates
of both parties at all levels of
government.
Our focus will be to keep all
interested citizens, private
sector leaders and individuals
who influence the public,
informed on the abortion issue.
We
will endeavor to find ways to
educate pro-life leaders on the
necessity to collaborate to
maximize the effectiveness of
pro-life political effort.
It
is clear that all efforts to
date to restore the Right to
Life have failed. We are faced
with the enormous challenge of
overturning the 1973 Roe v. Wade
Supreme Court ruling. This can
only be done in three ways:
1
) Appointing new pro-life
Judges to the Court who will
overturn the original abortion
ruling; or
2
) passing a Constitutional
Amendment to restore the Right
to Life; or
3
) for Congress to pass a law
restricting the power of the
Court as described in Article
III, section 2:2 of the
Constitution.
All these would require a
majority in both house of
Congress and a President who
believes in the Right to Life.
Faced with the greatest
challenge since the Civil War,
America is divided over the
question of abortion. However,
abortion did not become legal
because the America people
decided the issue; abortion
became legal because a
narrow
majority on the Supreme Court
found a “new” right in the
Constitution – abortion on
demand (See Roe v.
Wade). And,
in addition, the Court ruled
that an unborn child was not
truly human and therefore has no
rights under
the Constitution.
Yet, research shows that the
country is not so divided on the
issue of abortion, according to
research conducted by Right to
Life Crusade pro-life people
outnumber pro-abortion people by
a two-to-one majority. If this
issue were to be decided by a
vote of the people it is clear
which side would win. Therefore
our objective is to make
abortion a primary issue in all
future elections.
There are 511,000 elective
offices at the local, state and
federal levels of government.
The candidates for these offices
are supported by staffs that
determine issue identification.
The candidates are also
supported by reporters,
newspapers, centers of influence
from business and government,
scholars, as well as teacher and
student organizations. Most of
these people will eventually
have to be on the “life” side if
we are to be successful.
We
estimate that between 20 and 25
million voters in America are
avidly pro-life. Each and every
one of these people must be
convinced that they must get
involved and that their
involvement can bring about
change.
This process of development,
education, collaboration and
implementation will require much
greater effort that a single
election cycle or a single
campaign for President of the
United States.
We
have already taken steps through
Operation ID to
develop a process through which
all pro-life people can be
contacted and involved in this
political effort.
Soon, within the next three to
four years, we will develop the
kind of numbers it will take to
win and the kinds of local
efforts and organization to
identify and elect pro-life
candidates for public office.
If
you want an America that will
hold to the traditional values
of our founders and believe in
the principles of freedom with
responsibility, then I invite
you to join with us.
